Manila, Philippines — The watch that has long been associated with rugged street style is taking a more refined turn. G-SHOCK introduces the Luxe Black 2100, a four-piece collection designed to bring the iconic 2100 silhouette into a more understated and versatile wardrobe.
Available nationwide at G-SHOCK stores and authorized dealers, and online through the CASIO G-SHOCK website, Shopee, TikTok, Lazada and Zalora, the new collection puts a quieter spin on G-SHOCK’s signature toughness.
The Luxe Black 2100 reflects a broader shift in fashion toward understated pieces that can work across different settings. Instead of relying on bold branding or visual excess, the collection focuses on finish, material, proportion and subtle detailing.
“More than just an aesthetic, quiet luxury is a mindset, and Luxe Black is G-SHOCK’s answer to it,” said Sena Kuroda, Regional Sales Manager of the Timepieces Division at CASIO South East Asia. “We’re keeping the durability the brand has always been built on, but expressing it through material and finish instead of visual volume. It’s a sign of where G-SHOCK is headed: toughness that can flex with how people actually want to dress, not just one fixed look.”
The familiar octagonal 2100 shape remains, but the visual treatment is more restrained. Matte black dials, reduced reflections and redesigned hands and indexes create a cleaner overall appearance, while metallic elements introduce just enough contrast to highlight the watch’s details.
The result is a timepiece that can complement everything from casual everyday outfits to more polished looks.
The collection offers four interpretations.
The GM-2100LXB-1A (₱17,010) and GM-2100LXB-1A9 (₱15,710) feature metal bezels with a hairline finish and black ion plating, alongside newly designed matte black dials. Silver- or gold-toned details add a refined contrast.
For those looking for something lighter, the GA-2100LXB-1A (₱9,430) and GA-2100LXB-1A9 (₱9,430) feature matte-finished octagonal bezels and bands, metallic vapor-deposited indexes and lightweight resin construction.
Despite the collection’s fashion-forward treatment, its performance remains unmistakably G-SHOCK. All four models feature shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, stopwatch and timer functions, world time across 48 cities, Hand Shift, double LED Super Illuminator lighting and up to five daily alarms.
The collection also uses bio-based resin in key bezel and band components, bringing a more sustainability-minded material choice to the range.
The G-SHOCK Luxe Black 2100 Series is now available at CASIO and G-SHOCK stores nationwide and through the CASIO Philippines online store.
