Taiwan Expo 2026 to Showcase Energy, Wellness and Smart Products for Philippine Market

TAITRA representatives mark the official opening of Taiwan Expo 2025 in the Philippines, celebrating stronger ties and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

MANILA, Philippines — among the offerings is the Premium Lifestyle Pavilion, featuring rPET recycled fabric bags, electric vehicle safety blankets, micrometer towels, memory storage devices, smart wine aerators, and precision bathroom components. The Beauty & Wellness Pavilion, meanwhile, pairs biotech skincare products with medical-grade supplies, including functional bio-electro devices and anti-counterfeiting technology designed to protect consumers from fake pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging.

Food and agriculture products are also on the list, with the Agritech & Food Pavilion presenting premium Phalaenopsis orchids, high-mountain teas, and specialty foods alongside agricultural technology such as Autonomous Mobile Robots and smart livestock environmental control systems aimed at addressing production costs that eventually affect consumer prices.

On the energy side, the Green & Innovation Showcase introduces battery energy storage systems and hydrogen microgrids built for island and off-grid communities, technology that could eventually extend electricity access to areas outside the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao grids, along with green building insulation and AI-powered waste sorting systems.

These offerings arrive on the back of a strong 2025 edition, which generated $53.4 million in business opportunities and drew more than 10,000 buyers. This year’s exhibitors are organized under a “National Team” banner by the Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).

“Fifty-three million dollars in business opportunities showed us how much appetite there is in this market,” said James C. F. Huang, Chairman of TAITRA. “This year we want to build on that through joint ventures, licensing, and local assembly, so Taiwanese and Philippine companies are building together rather than simply trading.”

The expo also reflects deepening trade ties, with Taiwan and the Philippines exchanging $6.71 billion in goods in 2024 and bilateral trade climbing 8.5 percent in the first seven months of 2025.

Also featured: the Intelligent Technology Pavilion, covering AIoT, edge computing, and cybersecurity solutions relevant to businesses handling consumer data under the Data Privacy Act.

Filipino consumers can look forward to a wider range of imported goods hitting local shelves following Taiwan Expo 2026, which runs from 17 to 19 September at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. More than 125 Taiwanese exhibitors are expected to showcase products across technology, sustainability, agriculture, healthcare, and lifestyle categories, many of which are actively seeking Philippine distribution and retail partners.
