Manila, Philippines — There is no single way to experience the daily commute. Some prioritize readability, others want a watch that matches their streetwear, while some simply want something they can put on and forget about until it is time for a battery change. CASIO Philippines brings together five G-SHOCK models that approach everyday commuting from different perspectives while sharing the durability the line is known for.
Designed with daily movement in mind, the watches feature 200-meter water resistance and G-SHOCK’s signature shock-resistant construction. Timers, world time, and LED illumination add practical functions for routines that can stretch from morning commutes to late-night trips home.
“Filipino commuters deal with a lot in a single day, whether it’s a sudden downpour or a train car that feels like an oven,” said Sena Kuroda, Regional Sales Manager, CASIO Philippines. “G-SHOCK was built for exactly that kind of unpredictability. Commuters shouldn’t have to choose between a watch that can keep up and one that looks good doing it.”
For a retro-minded look, the GA-140-1A1 (₱8,860) channels the visual language of ‘80s and ‘90s audio equipment. Its dial takes cues from classic boomboxes and portable stereos, paired with the oversized rugged case inherited from the original GA-100 line.
The GA-700-1A (₱7,920) is geared toward quick glances. Its sculpted hands and dynamic three-dimensional face make the time easy to read, while its five-year battery and dedicated front illumination button add everyday convenience.
Those who prefer longevity can turn to the GA-010-1A (₱7,770) or GD-010-1 (₱7,960), both equipped with 10-year batteries. Their bio-based resin construction and black colorways make them easy to wear across different settings. The GA-010-1A features a textured analog-digital dial, while the GD-010-1 uses a large, high-contrast digital display.
